Most evenings since traveling to the small blue planet, as twilight turned into full-blown dusk. The young Saiyan could be found hiding from prying eyes in one of the many stretches of barren wilderness. The only sound that passed Noino’s ears was the low howl of a wild coyote or the whistle of wind striking against the desert rocks.
As she stared out from the top of the tallest pillar of stone and across the blank wasteland that stretched for miles and miles without any civilization to be seen – she was for the first time able to allow her mind to wander. Noino knew that as the High Lord Marshal of the Saiyan Forces that she must keep her skills sharp as to protect her king and her planet. She had to be strong in front of the other troops and fall into a lax ‘human’ attitude whilst on the planet. A dangerous idea, she couldn’t become ‘too native’ now. “I must stay strong for my king. I must stay strong for my race.”
With that thought, she began to stretch her arms and legs as to warm up for the fierce training to come. Noino closed her eyes and then breathed in, slowly – long deep breath. Clenching her hands into tight little fists as she did so, causing them to shimmer with a faint royal-blue aura. The aura slowly grew in size, slowly climbing her arms and across her shoulders until it fully swallowed her. A bright blue glimmer piercing the violet dusk shadows ebbing across the suddenly night sky. A past memory of a lesson taught by one of the master’s returned to Noino. “Never waver once combat has begun. Control your feelings and control the tide of battle.”
Creating the aura of ki was easy, focusing it down was the difficult part but it was something Noino had fully masters years prior under the guidance of teachers back on her home planet. She held her left arm out, straight in front of her – whilst pressing down with her right to steady it. The bright blue shimmer of ki began to swirl in her palm. Even though an attack like this was something Noino had done millions of times previously, it still filled her with a rush of great strength.
She let out a scream as the amount of ki rose, however, it was not one of pain but one of excitement. The small swirl of brilliant energy in her hand grew until it became the size of a large onion. With another scream that echoed across the desolate wasteland, Noino pushed, releasing the ki blast in the form of a wide, royal blue colored beam. The beam spun in mid-air cascading forwards like a rocket before it met its target. The rock pillars that lay on the other side of the valley were quickly obliterated by the force of impact. As the beam struck, the tower crumbled until it was nothing more than sand, dust, and rubble.

As the twilight continued began to fade into the purple swirled, black stretch of the sky which indicated night had truly fallen. Only the odd shimmer of a star twinkling in the far distance lit up the darkness. All fell deadly silent, once more. The debris and dust caused by her previous attack had settled still and lifeless. Noino landed softly on the tall pillar once more, her arms crossed over her chest and her eyes closed. She knew soon that she’d have to call it a night, especially as it the moon still shimmered up in the sky, hidden behind the thick blackened clouds cover.
Looking down, she flexed her arms, simultaneously clenching her hands into tight fists. She could tell that her power had risen somewhat since the end of her training with her masters back on Planet Vegeta. Breathing in deeply, she allowed her power to rise to maximum. Once more a shimmering aura erupted from within her body, starting from her hands which slowly stretched up her arms and across her shoulder. A white-hot aura of pure radiant ki engulfed Noino’s body. Odd sparks of brilliant light flew from her as she controlled the power that she had gained.
“That is a good start. I’ll have to show father, how much stronger I have become when I get back to Planet Vegeta,” she said, softly to herself – admiring her aura and glow. “I will make you proud, I promise.”
Slowly, Noino rose back into the air – hovering several meters over the remaining tall pillars in the wasteland. Again, she let out a scream as her power rose once more. She held out both her hands flat but horizontal in front of her. The swirls of ki began to appear between them, becoming the size of a large tennis ball. Once it had reached full size, she pushed forward, releasing the ball to the meet the ground below. Midway, the ball broke split apart, scattering a flurry of smaller golden yellow ki blasts into the barren wilderness below.
The ki blasts struck the ground, quickly decimating the rest of the wasteland. Rock formations, pillars, even the cacti and fauna collapsed or burned from the force of the ki. Noino didn’t seem to be satisfied and repeated the process. She breathed in again, allowing the sphere of ki to appear between her fingers. Once it reached a large size, she again, pushed forward and released it. Again it scattered like a machine gun, across the desert floor Once she had finished, the ground below was peppered by small holes and was otherwise flattened due to the lack of rock formations remaining after her attack. “Better. I believe I am ready,” she said, thoughtfully. With that done, she cracked her neck, now fully satisfied with her training. A shimmer of ki again engulfed Noino’s small form as she flew into the air like a bullet back towards the near town for some rest – ready for what was to come next.
