Gira grew up simply as an average schoolgirl in West City, the daughter of a university professor and a Saiyan warrior from Vegeta who died in battle in a backwater world before Gira was born. From the time she was a little girl, she knew she wanted to be a martial artist. Growing up watching them on TV and seeing the occasional tournament fueled her passion. Her mother was supportive in her daughter's dream, unable to say no to those big eyes. Still, it frightened her. She didn't want her daughter to meet the same fate as her husband did, so she made Gira promise to never leave the planet in exchange for being allowed to chase her dream. She cared little for leaving the planet. Martial arts was her dream, and she was going to chase it no matter the cost. Being half-Saiyan, Gira found very quickly that she had a talent for it.
The junior classes she took were far too easy, so she was moved to the adult class at the age of seven, the only child in the class. As she went through school, it became increasingly difficult for Gira to separate her Saiyan spirit from her human lifestyle. Every day was a struggle to control herself from fighting the first person who looked at her funny or threw an off-hand insult at one of her friends. After graduation, Gira knew that before she had to get a handle on her urge to fight. Moving out of her mother's house, she moved to an island in Earth's southern region, setting up a makeshift hut on one of the islands. She removed herself from civilization for three years, meditating and learning self-mastery. In those three years, she came far indeed. Her urge to fight is now lessened, combat itself seen as more of a fun lifestyle choice rather than something she sought as a need.

Description: Harnessing the power of the sun, Gira amplifies the light to blind all who can see it. Anyone in a thread where this is used must take an action to close their eyes or be blinded for one round. If someone is charging a technique when Solar Flare is used, they must drop the charge or else be blinded by the technique, losing the charge anyway.

Final Explosion
Cost: 100% HP, Ki
Type: Energy Tech
Description: A great sacrificial technique. By spending all of your ki and all of your HP, you can unleash a violent explosive wave-style attack. You will be killed instantly, but you will do an extra 50% damage, plus an extra 5% for every point of HP and Ki spent. [Obtained via "Marked by Destiny"]
